Engineer profile: Introducing Herman
Introducing Hermann Kerzendorf, a Lubrication Field Engineer at ExxonMobil and a genuine gas engine expert. Before joining the team, Hermann held a position at Rolls-Royce working with light-aircraft engines and at Bosch, working with stationary internal combustion engines, with a key focus on safely extending oil drain intervals.
Mobil Pegasus™ 605 Ultra 40 gas engine oil helped to double oil drain intervals, reduce engine stops and cut maintenance costs at Metagri biogas plant in Italy1. The findings were the result of an optimum drain interval study conducted on the plant’s MWM TCG 2020 V12 engine by ExxonMobil and Arka Lube.
The high performance lubricant helped to deliver:
€3,840 revenue improvement
8 hour reduction in human intervention
Amount of waste lube generated for disposal reduced by 1,300 litres
1Based on test findings for a single customer (Metagri biogas plant). Actual results can vary depending upon the type of equipment used and its maintenance, operating conditions and environment, and any prior lubricant used.
Hear from our customer Exporplás how ExxonMobil works side by side to enhance engine performance. Providing advantages far beyond the capabilities of conventional oil through product and innovative services.
Providing engine protection from biogas
Greenlake Systems BV operates a large biogas plant in The Netherlands and was looking for a lubricant that would help enhance productivity. Equipment performance and reliability is key to their success, particularly with engines running on aggressive gases.
Enhancing engine performance
With 121 operating landfill gas-to-energy sites across the UK, Infinis is one of the UK’s leading landfill gas-to-energy generators. Working hand-in-hand with ExxonMobil, Infinis improved engine performance and realised cost efficiencies across its fleet.
