Husky Injection Molding Machines are predominantly used in the manufacturing process. Customer has put in strategy to increase equipment life and increase system efficiency. The plant was seeking a cost-effective lubricant that could improve operational efficiency while reducing total cost.


ExxonMobil Field Engineer presented and recommended Mobil DTE™ 10 Excel 46 - the new generation of hydraulic oils, given its excellent hydraulic efficiency, clean performance with reduced system deposits and a good seal compatibility, with the potential to provide a long component life.


It was agreed to run a field test and examine its performance after 8 months. Upon completion of the field trial, Mobil DTE 10 Excel™ 46 has worked continuously for 4,345 hours.


The customer has positively concluded that the following benefits were obtained with Mobil DTE Excel™ 46:

  • no unscheduled downtimes or equipment failures
  • optimal and stable consumption of filter elements
  • no compatibility issues between the oil and materials of seals and hoses, used in Husky machines.
